Kent State Fashion Show 2025 Wrapped a Week of Style, Innovation, and Celebration

KENT, OH — The Kent State University School of Fashion concluded its 2025 Annual Fashion Show on April 26, wrapping up a dynamic Fashion Week that celebrated student creativity, industry collaboration, and the future of design. Held in the newly opened Crawford Hall, the three-night event featured 161 stunning looks from 41 student designers, each selected by a panel of industry experts.

The showcased garments spanned a wide range of categories, including evening wear, market-ready pieces, universal design, and more. The show served as the culmination of months of work from students, faculty, and industry collaborators. Beginning with fall semester collection reviews, students refined their work with guidance from the 2024–2025 designers-in-residence—Jocelyn Allen-Fecik, Manel Garcia Espejo, and Michael Ward, co-founders of The Salting—as well as critics Phantashia Johnson of Lane Bryant and Heike Jarick of Heike-NY.

“I am continually inspired by the talent and artistry our students bring to the runway,” said Mourad Krifa, Ph.D., director of the Kent State School of Fashion. “The Annual Fashion Show is not just a showcase — it's a celebration of their dedication, creativity and contribution to the future of fashion.”

Led by senior co-producers Amelia Gardner and Brett Ashley Richter, the show brought together students from all areas of the program, including design, merchandising, modeling, public relations, and stage management.
