Kyle Jackson, a member of Kent State's Class of 2024 and former for the team, is now entertaining legions of fans as a player for the Savannah Bananas exhibition baseball team. Based in Savannah, Georgia, the team is described as "the Harlem Globetrotters of baseball." Their games famously include trick plays, choreographed dances and high-energy fan engagement.

Jackson, who kept his Golden Flashes jersey number four when he joined the Bananas, played as an infielder for Kent State for four seasons. He helped organize the Savannah Bananas game in Memorial Stadium, home of the Clemson University Tigers in South Carolina. Attendance at the game numbered more than 82,000 and tickets sold out in less than an hour.
