Timken Foundation Donates Lead Gift

The Timken Foundation of Canton has donated a $1.5 million gift to the College of Aeronautics and Engineering Building expansion project. A groundbreaking ceremony was held Oct. 1 to officially begin this project that will add 80 percent more space to the college鈥檚 facilities.

Michael Parker, 鈥20, received seven scholarships during his Kent State experience. 鈥淭he scholarships that I received gave me the financial security I needed to pursue my goal of becoming an engineer,鈥 he said.

Bob Archer, MBA, 鈥61 began his Kent State University journey as a result of a tuition assistance program that his first employer, The Hoover Company, provided as a benefit.  鈥淢y career goal was to pursue management positions and someday own my own company,鈥 said Bob.
