This great location offers quick access to beautiful walking areas within the park, the fashionable Marlyebone neighborhood, and fun sights such as the Sherlock Holmes Museum. Many other famous landmarks are a quick ride away via public transportation.

  • Spring: October 1
  • Summer: March 1
  • Fall: April 1

Program Dates:

Program dates vary each year based upon the host institution's academic calendar, but the following are general guidelines:

  • Spring: End of January to Beginning of May
  • Summer: 
    • Students may take one or two sessions. 
      • Session 1: May 26 - June 12, 2026
      • Session 2: June 15 - July 3, 2026
      • 6 Week session for theatre students: May 26 - July 3, 2026
  • Fall: Mid-September to Mid-December
Application Process

Students will be required to complete two applications:

  • an internal Kent State Education Abroad application,
  • and a partner university application.

These quick steps will help walk you through the process.

1. Start an Education Abroad Application

When you click the "Apply Now" button (located towards the top and bottom of this page), you will be brought to the Education Abroad application system where you can view program costs and start an application. Be sure to submit your application before the deadline!

2. Wait for Acceptance

Once you have submitted your application, it will be reviewed by an Education Abroad Advisor. Applications are evaluated on a rolling basis. Please note that acceptance to the program by Kent State University does not serve as final approval. The host institution or program provider grants final approval for each applicant.

3. Complete the Host University Application

Once your Education Abroad application has been accepted, you will be nominated to the host university. You will complete the host university’s application and wait for official acceptance to the program.

Semester Program:

Students can study abroad at Regent's University London at the undergraduate or graduate level.

Undergraduate courses are available in the following subject areas: Acting, Art History, Business, Counseling, Digital Marketing, Fashion, Film Production, Interior Design, International Relations, Luxury Brand Management, Luxury Hospitality Management, Media & Advertising, Psychology, Screenwriting, and Sports Management.

Graduate courses are available in the following subject areas: Business & Management, Data Science, Finance, Global Art Markets, International Relations, Luxury Brand Management, Luxury Hospitality Management, Marketing & Fashion Marketing, Media & Communications, Project Management, Psychology, Psychotherapy & Counseling, and UX Design.

Semester students may also participate in a 5-credit industry placement. The industry placement is for one to two days per week and there is an additional fee of £500. 

Semester Eligibility Requirements:

  • Minimum 2.5 Kent State GPA

Summer Program Options:

Students can take one or two of the 3-week sessions at Regent's University. Each session is one course for 3 credit hours. 

Session 1:

Students will choose one course from the following:

  • London as a Fashion Capital (Fashion)
  • Fashion Styling & Photography (Fashion)
  • Business Ethics (Business)
  • International Finance (Business)

Session 2:

Students will choose one course from the following:

  • London as a Fashion Capital (Fashion)
  • Fashion Public Relations (Fashion)
  • Consumer Behavior (Business)
  • Luxury Branding (Business)
  • Literary London (Liberal Arts)

6-Week Session (Theatre only): 

Students will take a 6-week course that runs across both Session 1 and Session 2. Students will take the Experiencing Theatre course.

Transferring Credits

Transfer Credits

With this program, students enroll in courses at a partner (host) institution. You will need to transfer the credits you earn abroad back to Kent State University.

Upon successful completion of the program, the host institution will issue you an official transcript, which will be needed for the credit transfer process.

You must earn passing grades on the courses you take abroad for the credits to transfer. 

Prior to departure, students will meet with their academic advisor to complete a Transfer Course Planning (TCP) Form, which will outline the courses you plan to take while abroad and how the courses will transfer to Kent State University. 

Some courses have already been pre-approved for transfer to Kent State and can be viewed on the Transfer Credit Guide. Please note that this is only a guide and is NOT a comprehensive list of courses available at each partner institution.

Credit Approval

Prior to departure, it is your responsibility to meet with your academic advisor to discuss the courses you plan to take while abroad.

If a course needs to be evaluated for transfer, you are responsible for working with your education abroad advisor to obtain the syllabus and have it reviewed by Kent State faculty.

The United Kingdom consists of the countries of England, Scotland, Wales (which together make up Great Britain) and Northern Ireland. The Republic of Ireland is a separate country and is part of the European Union.

The United Kingdom is a constitutional monarchy and parliamentary democracy. Each of the countries within the UK has a distinct culture and a fierce sense of national pride. Although the English pound is the most common currency in circulation, banks in Scotland and Northern Ireland also issue currency in the same denominations, which look similar and mainly circulate within their respective countries. English, Scottish and Northern Irish pound notes are equal in value. Keep in mind that if you plan to travel to the Republic of Ireland, the Euro is their official currency.

As the U.K.’s capital, London is where history meets modernity, with traditions from thousands of years ago to dynamic startups and global firms. As far as sights and activities go, you can spend years living there and still never see it all. On your study abroad program to London, try to pack in as much as you can – museums, galleries, theater, iconic landmarks, street markets, pubs, trendy cafes – your only limitation is hours in the day!

Heathrow Airport is approximately 40 minutes away from Regent's University by public transportation.

Local Transportation

Students can use buses, the London Underground (the Tube) and trains to navigate London. 

Housing & Meals

Students can stay on Regent’s University’s campus in . It is conveniently located at the university and right by many of London’s well-known attractions. Single, double and triple rooms are available, and bathrooms are communal. There is also a laundry facility on-site and a meal allowance is included.

Reid Hall also has rooms and bathrooms available for students with accessibility needs. .

Students can also live off campus.

  • What types of activities does this program involve? Will there be strenuous hiking? Will we be walking long distances? Will we be carrying significant weight?
  • What is the housing like on this program? Will I be sharing a room or bathroom? Is there AC/heat?
  • What types of foods are available to me on this program? Will I be able to find meals that meet my dietary needs?
  • What types of transportation does this program use? Will I be navigating public transportation? Is public transportation accessible?
  • What is the climate like in my host country? Will there be extreme heat or cold?
  • Are my medications controlled or banned abroad? Are there regulations on traveling with my medications, service animal, etc.?
  • Are there prescriptions that I need to fill before I leave? What medications are available abroad? Is there a refrigerator to store my medication if needed?
  • How does my host country view my disability?
  • How do accessibility regulations in my host country differ from the US? (Ex.) Are ramps, elevators, tactile markings, etc. required/available?
  • Can I use my US medical devices in my host country? Is the voltage different? Will my equipment fit through a standard door (height/width) in my host country?
  • If there are overnight field trips outside of my typical housing for the program, is it possible to maintain the same housing accommodations I may require?

Pre-Departure Orientation

Prior to your study abroad experience, you will participate in a mandatory pre-departure orientation hosted by the Office of Global Education. During this orientation, you will be provided with information including but not limited to:

  • international travel procedures;
  • in-country resources;
  • health and safety resources and information;
  • culture shock and resources to help prepare for living abroad.

All students are encouraged to register with the prior to departure.

In addition, we encourage you to visit the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) travel page for for traveling to your destination(s).

If vaccinations or medications are needed according to the CDC, you should make arrangements for appointments with your healthcare provider or the DeWeese Health Center as soon as possible. Appointment openings at the DeWeese Health Center are limited and vaccines may need to be ordered, which takes time. Please note that not all immunizations are available at the DeWeese Health Center.
