Kent State University President Beverly Warren has announced the appointment of Stephen Sokany, an alumnus and longtime employee, to the position of vice president for institutional advancement, effective Aug. 8, 2016. As part of a campuswide commemoration of veterans, the Uumbaji Art Gallery at Kent State University is requesting artwork submissions of any subject matter and various mediums. For decades, biologists researching a cure for Alzheimer鈥檚 disease have remained in the dark almost as much as the ailment鈥檚 victims. A Kent State University professor, however, is looking to stop the disease before it starts. While some college students planned summer getaways to beaches or big cities, three Kent State University at Salem students planned summer writing workshops for area kids, teaching youngsters how to travel to far off places through writing and by using their imaginations.
