His enthusiasm has led him to more than 767,000 subscribers and 600 videos on his YouTube channel 鈥淪cience & Futurism with Isaac Arthur.鈥 He attracted the attention of the National Space Society, winning its Space Pioneer Award for Education via Mass Media in 2020 and taking on the role of president for the organization in 2023.

The Beginning Was the End: Devo in Ohio

New Wave 鈥80s band Devo isn鈥檛 just from Ohio. Devo wasn鈥檛 just created in Akron. Devo was forged at Kent State University under the pressure of the turmoil of the late 鈥60s and the events surrounding May 4, 1970. Authors David Giffels and Jade Dellinger brought their book 鈥淭he Beginning Was the End: Devo in Ohio鈥 to Kent State for a book signing and discussion.

Kent State Recognizes Alumni During Homecoming Weekend

Kent State University recognizes alumni who, through leadership, character and hard work, are making a difference. During Homecoming Weekend, 10 Golden Flashes were presented with Alumni Awards, and nine alumni received Lifetime Achievement recognitions from the university鈥檚 Black Alumni Chapter.

The Kent State University Alumni Association Announces New Members For Its National Board of Directors

The following new members have been appointed to the Kent State Alumni Association National Board of Directors for a three-year term, which began July 1: Jeff Guritza, of Brecksville, Ohio, is the vice president of marketing at SOPREMA USA. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Public Relations from Kent State in 1994.
