The Kent State University Board of Trustees approved the establishment of four new majors during its regular quarterly meeting held March 6 on the Kent Campus. The Board also approved recommended actions for the East Main Street Project in Kent and a naming action.

Kent State Board of Trustees Approves New Cybercriminology Major
The Kent State University Board of Trustees approved the establishment of a new cybercriminology major within the Bachelor of Science degree at the Board鈥檚 regular quarterly meeting held Dec. 6. The new cybercriminology major will be offered fully online, in addition to a mostly online delivery at all Kent State campuses.

Macon will serve through May 16, 2027, fulfilling the unexpired term of Johnathan Holifield. Holifield resigned his position as a trustee in late 2022 due to an out-of-state relocation.

Governor Appoints Renato Camacho to Kent State Board of Trustees
Renato 鈥淩en鈥 Camacho of North Canton, Ohio, has been appointed to the Kent State University Board of Trustees by Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine. Camacho, who currently serves as president and CEO of the Akron-Canton Airport, brings expertise in both economic development and aviation to the Kent State Board.
