Performing Arts Center Announces New Season
The Performing Arts Center at Kent State University at Tuscarawas announced its 2024-25 season highlighted by Broadway musicals Ain鈥檛 Too Proud - The Life and Times of The Temptations and The Addams Family. Other highlights include the music of Andy Grammer, Celtic Woman and Drew & Ellie Ho鈥

Young scientists from three counties took part in the 2024 Ohio District 13 Science Day competition hosted by Kent State University at Tuscarawas. Chris Post Selected as 2024 Speaker for Kent State鈥檚 Jerry M. Lewis May 4 Lecture Series
The lecture series created in 2022 to honor the legacy of Kent State University Professor Emeritus of Sociology Jerry M. Lewis, Ph.D., will feature Professor of Geography Chris Post, Ph.D., presenting 鈥淒eveloping and Interpreting the Wounded Student Markers at Kent State鈥 as this year鈥檚 selected speaker. The Jerry M. Lewis May 4 Lecture Series and Luncheon will be held on May 3.

Kent State University is one of the top undergraduate schools for game design studies according to 庐. The education services company features Kent State, with animation game design programs through the College of Applied and Technical Studies at the Kent, Stark and Tuscarawas campuses, on its 15th annual ranking list, Top 50 Undergraduate Schools for Game Design for 2024.

Grants Provide Engineering Technology Students with High-Tech Electronic Equipment
Engineering technology students at Kent State University at Tuscarawas now have access to new state-of-the-art portable electronic equipment.
The high-tech equipment was purchased through the Governor鈥檚 Office of Appalachia (GOA) and the Appalachian Regional Commission (ARC) Workforce Development Grant for $182,000 with funding from Ohio Mid-Eastern Governments Association (OMEGA), Tuscarawas County Commissioners, Kent State University, Buckeye Career Center, OhioMeansJobs, Tuscarawas County Chamber of Commerce, and the Tuscarawas County Foundation.

The 2023 Animation School Rankings have been released, and the Kent State University College of Applied and Technical Studies Animation Game Design (AGD) program is ranked 16th nationally and 20th in the Midwest. This is the 12th year for the annual rankings for animation programs. Nearly 200 schools with animation programs from across the country were considered.
