Names encapsulate who we are, the identity we hold and how others see us. But what if the name you were given doesn’t feel like “you?” This is the case for some transgender or gender-diverse people and those whose chosen name does not match their legal or birth name. Starkey Earns Career Win No. 300 as Kent State Beats BG

Kent State defeated Bowling Green, 82-74, Saturday at the Stroh Center to give head coach  his 300th career win. Starkey has won 135 games as the leader of the Golden Flashes and is now tied with Laurel Wartluft for the second most wins in program history.

A Program Of Empowerment

Since the summer of 1990, the Academic S.T.A.R.S. (Students Achieving and Reaching for Success) Program has been offered at Kent State University. E.
