Meet and Greet Faculty Ombuds

We are pleased to announce the opening of the Office of the Faculty Ombudsperson at Kent State University. The Faculty Ombuds, Shannon Driscoll, provides a safe, informal and confidential environment where faculty can discuss workplace concerns and challenges and consider possible strategies and solutions. The Ombuds will be hosting a virtual 鈥淢eet and Greet鈥 on Thursday, May 9 from 2-3 p.m. for any faculty who wish to log on and say hello and learn more about how the faculty ombuds can support them.

Presentation about the current state of cryptocurrency

Kent State University Retirees' Association (KSURA) invites you to attend a presentation entitled The Crypto Conundrum - Breaking Down Bitcoin Basics, to be delivered by David Pelleg of Kent State University鈥檚 Finance Department on Wednesday, May 15 from 3-5 p.m. It will cover Bitcoin's history, blockchain technology, and the decentralized control of cryptocurrencies. This session is open to the general public.

Winner of the Kent State University Distinguished Advisor Award

University Advising and Kent Academic Advising Support and Advising Association (KASADA) are pleased to announce the 2024 inaugural award winner of Kent State University鈥檚 prestigious Distinguished Advising Award 鈥 Melissa Fenn! Melissa is a Senior Advisor II in the College of Nursing and has been an advising professional for 24 years, 16 of which have been at Kent State. She works specifically with honors students and assists in-program students through to graduation.  Please join us in congratulating Melissa!
